Zbrush face day 2

Day 2 of Zbrush.   Polishing up the face more.   Did hours of tutorial videos and got more familiar with the program and the UI.
Eyes are a pain but they’re looking better.  Still dreading the ears but we’ll get there.  Will also clean up around her jaw and start to learn hair.

The 3D Journey Begins

I've never done 3D.   It's been something I've honestly avoided as long as I could after having a terrible experience many years ago with 3D Max.   But technology has come a hell of a long way since.    And really there's not many places left that are going to hire an artist for even conceptual or illustration work without at least some elementary knowledge of 3D CG.

So here we are.  I'm messing around with Sculptris and starting to dabble with Zbrush to have advanced options with the the models.    Yup, this is probably an ugly model but I hope to get better.   I've always heard how painters can easily transition into sculpting and 3D work because they already think that way.  I personally attest to just the opposite.      It's probably going to be a long, long battle ahead before I can make something somewhat presentable.  Here's to getting better.
