Looking better.

Repainting sucks, especially when it comes to faces.  But a single face is going to read paragraphs about a character.  So in this instance, you cannot fall in love with one element when the picture as a whole is at stake.  A good illustration comes down to the dedication you put into it. So work and re-work as much as needed

Painting Progress

Fit in some time to start laying down colour on the picture from yesterday. Still in the rough stages.

An older sketch from awhile back with Anita getting her arm stitched.   It’s on the back burner, for now.  

Started scribbling this a few days ago between jobs.   Right now I’m at the point at working on the final lines, so to speak, to outline the character before starting in on colour.    Before, you can see the initial sketch and a tonal study to give me an idea of direction.  This may or may not be followed.

Good morning.   I don’t blog.  I really don’t.   But I’m also terribly behind the times with this internet thing.  I get caught up in a routine and never break it.   So here we go.  Let’s try something new.    I will do my best to keep things up to date , no matter how minute the post.  So look for finished paintings, sketches, brain farts, whatever may happen.
